Studio 301

The Video studio is located in the Digital Media Lab on the 3rd floor of Clemons library.  Partially funded by the U.Va. Arts Council, this space facilitates faculty and student's exploration of audio and video as expressive mediums for critical and creative engagement across the disciplines.   This space allows patrons to concentrate on content creation without the distraction of learning advanced hardware and production techniques.

The studio is available to current university students, faculty, and staff.  Projects with a focus on teaching, learning, research, and scholarship will receive priority.

The studio includes

  • high definition camera
  • teleprompter
  • panel-controlled lighting
  • live PA system
  • multiple audio inputs with wired lavalier microphones
  • interchangeable backdrop system
  • a consultant in the studio to facilitate production

Staffing:

The DML staff provide full-time and student consultants to teach and assist with projects.

Hours of Operation:

The studio follows the DML schedule and closes 15 minutes before the main lab.
