Scanning in the CLIC

The CLIC computer lab houses a digital sender. This device allows you to scan and digitize your document, convert it to PDF, and send the PDF to any U.Va. e-mail addresses for free.

When you enter the CLIC's computer lab, the digital sender is located on the left, back wall. Operating instructions are located next to the sender.

HP 9100C Digital Sender in closed position
Use the sender in the "closed" position when you have a document on 8 1/2" x 11" paper that you wish to scan.
HP 9100C digital sender in the open scanning position
Use the sender in the "open" position when you are scanning documents smaller than 8 1/2" x 11" , scanning pages that you want to keep stapled together, or if you are scanning a chapter from a book.

You can also view the digital sender operating instructions here.
