CHILDREN'S BOOK COLLECTION IN THE CLIC
Whether you need to review books for a class or just want a good read, be sure to take a look at the children's book collection in the CLIC. Located in the room behind the brick wall you face when entering the CLIC, not only will you find a wide assortment of picture books and chapter books from pre-school to young adult, there are comfy chairs and tables for reading and working in the space. There is also a self check-out machine so you can take books with you. View this video on using the self check-out machine.

Media:scape work station LEARNING TABLE
Coming to the CLIC around January 15 for a several week demo, the Media:scape table is a “walk-up and connect” experience that merges furniture and technology to help teams access and share information. Media:scape uses a pedestal table with cleverly embedded hardware and interactive technology to foster group work. A unique puck-shaped handset allows users to connect laptops and control the content of what is projected on a single, or up to four flanking LCD screens. Handsets are easily stowed in the designated “media well,” reserving the table surface for active work and related tools. When the system is powered on, first-time users are offered a short tutorial animation, eliminating the need for IT’s help with set-up or shut down. Come, try this out, and share your opinions.
