Mathematical estimation is an important workforce skill. This Tea & Technology presentation will describe the process of developing applications for the iPhone / iPod Touch to create an Estimation Calculator. Rather than providing an exact answer, the Estimation Calculator provides students with guidance on the degree to which their work approximates the actual answer to encourage students to develop an enhanced number sense. The Estimation Calculator will be piloted with at-risk students in local schools.   Please join Dr. Robert Berry and Peter Malcolm for this event.
