Enrollment in Postsecondary Institutions, Fall 2009; Graduation Rates, 2003 & 2006 Cohorts; and Financial Statistics, Fiscal Year 2009 presents findings from the spring 2010 data collection of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) within the Institute of Education Sciences. This collection included five components: student financial aid for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduate students for the 2009-10 academic year; enrollment for fall 2009; graduation rates within 150 percent of normal program completion; graduation rates within 200 percent; and finances for fiscal year 2009. NCES Nation's Report Card: Science 2009 NATION'S REPORT CARD: SCIENCE 2009
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has released The Nation’s Report Card: Science 2009. The 2009 science report presents results for students in grades 4, 8, and 12. National results for each of the three grades are based on representative samples of public and private school students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense schools. State results are reported separately for fourth- and eighth-grade public school students from 46 states and the Department of Defense schools.

Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems logo STUDENT PRIVACY BRIEF
This Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) Technical Brief examines what protecting student privacy means in a reporting context. Current reporting practices are described and each is accompanied by a table used to consider whether the intended protections are successful.

Drawing upon the review and analysis of current practices, the Brief concludes with a set of recommended reporting rules that can be applied in reports of percentages and rates that are used to describe student outcomes to the public.

Once on the page, look at the titles of the videos, and select th tutorial that meets your needs, such as "APA PsycNET: In Search of Tests & Measures" and click on the title to view the video.

 

Seeds4Change SEEDS 4 CHANGE
Seeds4Change hosted a special presentation called "Bridging Multiple Divides: Tackling Diversity in a College-Based Mentoring Program" in the CLIC on Feb 9th. Over 30 interested students and faculty attended the session and enjoyed lunch and conversations. Presentations were made by Dr. Joanna Lee Williams, Jen Leyton, Afi Wiggins and Lauren Germain about research being done in the Young Women Leaders Program here at Curry.
