Go to Search and Browse for Images, then to LAUNCH
Before you start, REGISTER:
- In order to save your image selection when you close your browser
- In order to set up folders for different presentations
- In order to be granted Instructor Privileges with the images
- Use your FULL e-mail address, i.e.: mst3k@virginia.edu
- Password: 7 digits or more
- If you participated in a previous ARTstor trial and registered, your password should still be good. e-mail ARTstor if you have lost your password
Go to View:
- Choose thumbnails or list format
To Search:
- Choose to search the entire database or by subject in selected Collections
- For example: in Hartill Art & Architecture, choose 19th century American Architecture
- Or Search: Gehry
- Note: The response is better by architect or artists than via sophisticated term searching or keyword
Manipulating your results:
- Click on the Image to select it
- Double click on the Image to see it in the Image Viewer
- Click on the Title to get the image information
- You can add your own information under Instructor’s Commentary and Personal Notes or change information in the record, but only in the surrogate that you are using, not on the master record
- To Download the Image, click on “SAVE,” accept the terms and save to your Home Directory
Creating Image Groups
- Each user has a private Work Folder. Inside this you may create any number of “Image Groups” for different presentations
- If you wish to create a folder to share with others, do this by going to “Tools” and “Create Shared Folder”
