Research Instruction & Consultations

Librarians are available to provide one-on-one research consultations and in-class instruction about the best resources for a particular subject, class, or assignment. Instruction and consultations can take many forms, and may include:

  • Database tutorials
  • ArtSTOR training
  • Help finding reliable sources on the web
  • Tools to keep up with current events and scholarship
  • Tips for choosing a research topic
  • Successful search strategies
  • Guidance on citing your sources and avoiding plagiarism
  • Personalized help when you're stuck in your research
