Image Services in the ScanLab

The Fine Arts Library ScanLab maintains Macintosh and PC computers with scanners for public use. Staff are available from 9AM-5PM Monday-Friday to provide basic assistance with scanning.

The following equipment and programs are available in the ScanLab during all library open hours:

  • 8 Macintosh computers
  • 2 PC computers
  • 4 Epson V700 flatbed scanners (8.5 x 14” maximum scanning surface)
  • 6 Epson 10000XL flatbed scanners (11 x 17” maximum scanning surface)

All scanners are capable of scanning slides as well as books, documents and photographic prints.

All computers are equipped with Adobe Creative Suite and Epson scanning software.

All computers are configured to connect to Home Directory (http://its.virginia.edu/homedir/) and to servers in the Architecture School. You may also wish to bring your own storage media (such as a flash drive or blank CD or DVD) to the ScanLab.
