VIRGObeta
VIRGObeta
VIRGObeta is U.Va. Library's customized discovery interface built on top of the Blacklight discovery platform. Blacklight is an open source discovery interface, originally developed here at UVa, which uses Solr to index and search collections. Several other institutions are also implementing Blacklight, and you can read more about the software on the project's website. The Blacklight development project's roadmap is available from the project's development tracking system.

Hydra Project
The Hydra Project, a joint effort between Stanford University, The University of Hull, Fedora Commons, and the University of Virginia Library, will create a set of repository workflow tools to control management, indexing, discovery, retrieval, and preservation of digital materials at all phases of an object's lifecycle. For more information on the larger project, please visit the Hydra Project home portal on the Fedora Commons wiki. The long-term vision of the project's goals are available from the Project's timetable.
The development of the Blacklight platform is one of U.Va. Library's contributions to the Hydra Project. For more information on our involvement in this exciting development project, please go to our Hydra Project information page.
