Music Library Association Atlantic Chapter: Fall 2008 Meeting
We invite you to join us at our annual chapter meeting, which will take place at the University of Virginia on November 7-8, 2008. The meeting is co-hosted by the University of Virginia Library and the College of William and Mary Library.
Registration
Please fill out the registration form and mail it, with your check, to Erin Mayhood by Friday, October 24, 2008. Lunch will be provided for pre-registrants. Onsite registration will be available and a list of lunch options will be available.

DAY 1: Friday, November 7, 2008
1:00pm-4:00pm: Optional tour of the Library of Congress' National AudioVisual Conservation Center in Culpeper, VA.
6:00pm: Dinner in Charlottesville (see below if you would like to eat with the group)
DAY 2: Saturday, November 8, 2008
8:15am: Rya Martin will be in the lobby of the Best Western Cavalier Inn to walk the group to the meeting space. The walk is about 10 minutes.
8:30am-9:00am: Registration, coffee and light breakfast items in Garrett Hall.

Turn right onto Ivy Road upon exiting the Best Western parking lot (going west). Go through 3 stop lights - Vivace will be on your left.
Parking
The hotel is walking distance (about 10 minutes) from U.Va. and offers free parking. The U.Va. bookstore offers visitor parking and is about a 5 minute walk to the meeting site (http://www.virginia.edu/webmap/ACentralGrounds.html). There are also handicap parking spots surrounding Garrett Hall.
Accommodations
We have reserved a block of rooms for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at the Best Western Cavalier Inn (105 Emmet St N, 434-296-8111). Mention that youare attending the Music Library Association Atlantic Chapter Conference at U.Va. for a $87.00 room rate (plus 11% tax). A complimentary continental breakfast is included in the room rate. Please book your room by October 7, 2008.
Charlottesville also has many additional hotel options.
Dining
Charlottesville is a university town with a wide variety of restaurants. If you would like to join together for dinner on Friday evening at 6:00pm, we have reserved space at one of our better local restaurants, Vivace. The three course meal (Group 2 choices) will cost $28.00.
Local Culture/Attractions
For a wide range of cultural events in the area, a detailed calendar is available from Piedmont Council of the Arts. Highlights include First Friday art openings, a contradance Friday night, symphony concert Saturday, and jazz/blues both nights.
