Reserves at the Music Library

The Music Library collaborates with other branch libraries to offer reserve materials support, both physical and electronic, for all academic courses. All materials are kept behind the circulation desk; default circulation time is 2 hours (4 hours for videos and graduate-level books). CDs form the bulk of our reserve circulation. Listening stations allow access to a wide variety of media, and headphones may be used by individuals as well as small groups.

Note on video reserves: Because of limited viewing stations, bear in mind that viewing of extended portions of videos or by large groups may be better suited to the Robertson Media Center. However, individuals and small groups may view videos on our equipment.

The Music reserve desk also offers streaming access to audio materials within our collection to electronic course reserve pages within copyright guidelines. The Library delivers them to your Collab site directly.

Please contact Winston Barham, reserves manager, for information or requests at wkb5j at virginia dot edu or 243 - 8700.
